With nearly 24 hours racing under their belts and the top steps of the GTLM podium at stake, the gap on track between fellow Corvette Racing team-mates Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia was shrinking quickly. To the joy of fans tuned into to the final minutes of this years Rolex 24 hours of Daytona, the call came from the Corvette pits: ‘You are ok to race’.
The rest is history, quite ridiculous history… Clean wheel to wheel racing between two uber talented and respectful drivers and a winning margin at the line of just 0.034s.
I came up with this design to pay tribute.
